I like the 1985 version better. www.silkcitysurfers.com/rasound/RealAmer.html I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man; I am a real American, fight for what's right--fight for your life! When it comes crashing down, and it hurts to hide; ya' gotta take a stand, it don't help to hide. Well, you hurt my friends, and you hurt my pride; I gotta be a man--I can't let it slide I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man; I am a real American, fight for what's right--fight for your life! I don't feel too strong about right and wrong; And I don't take trouble for very long. I got somethin' deep inside of me,and courage is the thing that keeps us free. I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man; I am a real American, fight for what's right--fight for your life! Well you hurt my friends, and you hurt my pride. I gotta be a man--I can't let it slide! I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man; I am a real American, fight for what's right--fight for your life! I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man; I am a real American, fight for what's right--fight for your life! |

Ridin' the storm out, waitin' for the thaw out On a full moon night in the Rocky Mountain winter. My wine bottle's low, watching for the snow I've been thinking lately of what I'm missing in the city. And I'm not missing a thing Watchin' the full moon crossing the range Ridin' the storm out Ridin' the storm out. My lady's beside me, she's there to guide me. She says that alone we've finally found home. The wind outside is frightening, but it's kinder than the lightning life in the city. It's a hard life to live but it gives back what you give. |
