An older friend of mine needs something to carry from work to the car at night but does not want to carry a gun. I bought her an ASP Palm Defender pepper spray but she wants a stun gun. Thanks! |

Does she know how a stun gun works, or is she assuming they knock the bad guy out like in the movies? She would have to come into physical contact with the assailant (or at most 15 feet if she uses a taser). Then, if she successfully stuns him, she will have to either subdue him physically or run away before he can recover and catch her up - neither of those things sound feasible for an older lady who is scared of guns. She will be better off with pepper spray. |

My woman's got a twin pronged one she bought at a yard sale, uses a 9v battery, it's not a x-26 but it'll make muscles clinch and jerk as long as it's prongs stay in contact with body. She got bear spray that she has used and they don't have to be up and close for it to be used. |
