| I have a CMP Mossberg M44US and it is flawless except for some smal scratches that are near the front sight. I guess the armorers dinged it up a bit. I polished one of the larger ones out with some fine emory. The Birchwood Casey gel stuff I have wont blue the metal. Its a tiny spot, about 1/8" round that is bare but this stuff turns it black and then seems to just wipe right off.. |

I like Brownell's Oxpho Blue (haven't used the paste so can't comment on that). I have used their Formula 44/40 and don't give a damn for it. When using Oxpho Blue, after prepping your metal, heat it fairly warm to open up those pores, the bluing will work much better and stay lots longer. |
