| I need to replace my wallet of 15 + years. I need room for ID cards, insurance cards, credit/debit cards, etc.. Recommendations please. |

Needed a new wallet and decided to try canvas vs. leather. Ordered a Duluth Trading firehose wallet and was disappointed; ended up giving it to my nephew. It was thin material and made in China. Not at all what I expected.
Found Recycled Firefighter online and ordered their "Captain" bifold w/ ID window. Mine is yellow firehose with Multicam trim. The large, thin format is great for spreading out the footprint - ended up really making a difference in comfort vs. my old leather Costanza wallet. Now I just carry some cash, IDs, and a few cards in the wallet and leave the travel rewards cards, etc. in in my backpack. Handmade in the US of recycled firehose and quality components & construction. Sturdy as hell. No affiliation with the company other than as a very happy customer. There is some other cool stuff on the website as well. Wallets, notebook covers, edc gear bags, backpacks, and other stuff from firehose, Army boot leather, and hypalon. Reasonably priced for what you get IMO, and definitely a conversation starter and well-crafted item. Recycled Firefighter bifold

These are fucking awesome. I have one in my pocket.
4 years and it's like new. I have about 36 cards in it, plus cash and a few other things. it's so slim I barely know it's there. https://www.all-ett.com I have the ultra-slim original. One of the all-time best purchases of my life. |

You sit on that? Or do you keep it in a jacket or front pocket? Edit: I see the clip now. |

I like my saddleback but I got it right before the price hike. Wouldn't buy it now. Same thought here. I have a medium bifold and love it, but it looks like it is now twice the price. I have had it for 5 years and it's in perfect condition, very well made. It is a great wallet but I would probably look around a bit to see what is out there in the classic leather wallet category with the current price. Glad it has a 100 year warranty! |

Dockers. You can buy the at Kohls.
Cheap and wear like iron. They frequently have buy one, get one half off sales. Bought two and still haven't switched to the second many years later. First one has had almost daily use and has been drenched with salt water (wave was MUCH bigger than expected) and still looks practically brand new. |

THE wallet from spec ops, the original large one is very big, i need cargo pockets to fit it in. Shark bite flap is extremely durable Ive had mine since about 2007.
I am replacing it with a smaller wallet, because the last time i weighed it it came in at 1 lb. Just a few cards, some change and $200 in bills. The large wallet is equal to a clutch in that it holds just about everything a guy could need. The change pouch is handy and the dual Clear ID sleeves are handy. |

I can say DO NOT get a Carhart. Had mine for around 2 years and the thing was so worn out it was dropping cards like crazy and the ID section was sewn short so your license stuck out and would also work it's way out.
I just bought a Swiss Gear hybrid bi fold. Seems to work so far. I can't do a minimalist, between different professional ID, pistol permit, insurance/dental/etc plus CCs I just run out of room. |

You sit on that? Or do you keep it in a jacket or front pocket? Edit: I see the clip now. Front pocket or jacket pocket. I use the clip for cash when i have cash [try not to]. The clip does work well if you use it to clip to your pocket though and it sits deep enough that there would be no worry about it falling out. I use to be a trifold leather wallet guy but after my wife bought me this after i showed them to her, im glad she ordered it for me. Best change ive made. |
