I'm looking at adding some remote light switches and have no clue what's good and what's junk.

Want to be able to control our outside lights (all incandescent), figure maybe 400 watts max.

Max distance, with 2-3 walls would be about 75 feet.

What should I buy?

I like the Insteon stuff.

It works two ways (dual band) by talking through the wires and wireless.  Each device acts as a repeater.  So distance is not a problem (wires) and bridging the 120 branches of your electric service is not a problem (wireless)

I have a simple SkyLinkHome set up for the garage, shop, and yard lights. It is great if you want to just swap out some in-wall light switches and put a few lamps on a remote system. It was a cheap way to be able to control lights that normally are controlled from outback. I didn't have to mess with adding three way switches to the house, can do it form my car, nightstand, or the switch location. Range is somewhere beyond 200 yards with walls for my place.
