| So my wife's remote car starter is working right. I am trying to reprogram it. They mention a Valet Switch in the instructions. Does anyone know what a Valet Switch is? Where I may find it? TIA zeekh |
| Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but on some vehicles, there is a "valet switch" that disconnects the electric trunk release, thereby making it a little more difficult for a parking valet to open it and steal the contents. Check your vehicle owner's manual for the location. Typically, it's mounted inside the glove compartment. |

I found the control module but there isn't a switch on it. I think the remote is bad but I want to try reprogramming it before buying a new one. Unfortunately the manufacturer is out of business. |

I don't have a valet switch. |
