| Thinking of picking one up for the wife's car. Any recommendations from the hive, as to which one gives you the best option!/performance for your money? |

got an autopage for the wifes tahoe..it was for our 15 year anniversary I had promised her one for a long time now and suprised her with it.
her exact words were " I dont think I want one now I'll never use it"....well she uses it every day! Autopage c3-rs-730 remote start/alarm,with page the page feature tells you hwne the car is running and if someone sets off the alarm. it can be upgraded to where you can use your droid or Iphone to remote start too. it came with one LCD multi colored display remote keychain and another 4 button remote. the LCD has a clock, displays when the car is running, can tell you the interior temp of the car, and if the alarm was triggered while out were out of range which zone was triggered other programmable features are you can have the car automatically start if the temp drops a certain degree or gets too hot inside.. |

Has it had any issues? I know many aftermarket alarms come with a host of electrical glitches and over-sensative alarms? Hows this one so far? |

been in the car for almost 6 months now and the only glitch it has had is ocasionally when you arm it it shows that one door is open this has happened probably less than 10 times.
only false alarms have been during very heavy thunderstorms, I mean heavy enough to wake you in your sleep. other than that it's been good to go. the shop that installed it has been around for a looong time and being a former installer I trusted them with the job, they also guarantee their work for the lifetime of the unit. ETA link: autopage C3-RS-730 ETA: I think the total cost installed was @400 bucks. we had origionally talked about just a car start but I wanted to go with the alarm features too. also I know autopage has been around in the alarm/car start business for quite some time and they have a good rep. we used them BITD when I was installing... do you remember the car alarms that had a pager??? |

Another vote for finding an installer that REALLY knows his shit.
There is no automotive accessory known to man that will screw up a vehicle's electrical system worse than a bad remote starter install - You can count look forward to chasing electrical gremlins for as long as you own the vehicle! |
