It is time to tighten up my castle and I am looking for the best window for the money. I dont plan on doing this again for A LONG TIME if ever so I want the best there is and will invest some $$$ to save $$ every year in energy bills.
Manufacturer. Leaning towards Pella, we used a couple in a porch remodel and I am happy with them. Anything better? Style. From what I have found casement style windows seal up tighter and will be more energy efficient. True? Glass. I priced regular and low E glass, is low E worth the extra $$? Tax rebate. Can I still get a tax break on new windows? Replacement or new construction. I will be doing siding at the same time and the interior is getting done sooner or later so It wont matter if the new windows slip right into where the old one was. Is there any advantage with one or the other? |
