| I'm adding a sub-panel in a pole barn next to my house, connected to the main panel in the basement with #6 UF. There is no room to enter the main panel through the top. All of the knockout holes are full. To use a side knockout, do I need to use an LB and a stub of pipe to protect the wire up the wall, or can I just use a panel connector? |
| I aint up on code much these days (I work for the RR and we are exempt) However, conduit always offers that added layer of protection. I doubt if it's indoors that it has to be ran in the conduit, but it certainly cant hurt and won't cost much. Just remeber to keep your ground and neutral conductors seperate at the subpanel (they are not to be bonded at the bus like they are in the main.) |
