mermite "green" scrambled eggs, white bread, potatoes, milk, raisin bran and a orange

M16A1 in background, me looking pleased with my food....

How could you guys have possibly been expected to fight with that rifle?

No rails, lasers, lights, NV or gizmos.

Ah, the wonders of green eggs and ham; you know Dr. Seuss must've had his inspiration for that children's book from his time in the military. And people complain about MREs, you new guys in the military have never eaten C-Rats or K-Rats. You are so lucky.

Fairly simple dinner pic, 'food' and a gun. No beer, not even feet in the picture.

But they make a BIG deal out if it durring the field excercises I have been involved with
