Have several wall sconces that run off 100w T3 halogen bulbs.  They put out about 1000 lumens.  We use them a fair amount.

Since there probably won't be reasonable bulbs to reasonable these anytime soon, I thought it might just as well make sense to rewire them with LED modules.  I have room for a 2"x4" module.

So anyone done this before?  I can't seem to locate a good source for the parts.  Terralux makes some 400 lumen modules.  that's all I've found.

Check out the R7S type LED lamps.

Those are cool, tempted to try one.  But in the 78mm size I can't seem to find anything near 100w equivalent.   Best I've seen is 400-500 lumens.  I need more ooomph

Residential or commercial application?

It is residential.

Of the 4 I want to upgrade, 2 will probably be fine around 1000 lumens and 2 should be more... 1500+

Post a pic of the fixture to see what kind of room inside we are looking at

Whatever you end up doing, make sure you keep the LEDs as cool as possible. (no sealed fixtures) Heat and bad power kill LEDs. As long as you keep them cool they should last a really long time.
