Just get an LPVO and then you have a 1X and a magnifier all built into one convenient unit and all you do is flip the throw lever. They come with illuminated reticles too. Crazy talk. A lot faster than going to offsets or flipping up a BUIS set. |

A better idea is to put 4 1x red dot optics in series on QD mounts. This will work as a 4x optic. You can remove one or two to get it down to a 3x or 2x optic, or three to back it down to a 1x optic. Make sure your pockets are big enough to hold the red dots you remove. |

View Quote on this note. if i put a 3x behind a 4x does it make a 7X or a 12X? what would the dot size be for a 4MOA Aimpoint dot would it be 48MOA?\ what about a laser aiming device? could it be magnified using a series of 3x FTS magnifiers to make a scalable phaser like in star trek? like "stun" setting is only 2 , 3x magnifiers, but "kill" is 4, 3x magnifiers, and "obliterate" is 4, x4 magnifiers. |

Just get some +4 reading glasses, install the lenses backward, and flip up/down as needed.

I dunno, what's your question? It's a magazine release. Quoted: Do you shoulder that thing on your hip to shoot through the RMR? If you read the rest of the thread you'll see we've already discussed this. |
