I chuckled.

Looks like an enterprising Ron Paul supporter had some fun. |

Perry had it as recently as 2009, anyway.

I can understand forgetting which 3 federal departments you plan to abolish, but forgetting to renew your domain name is kinda hard these days. Seriously!! I had 2 domains expire recently and it was like 3 email per day in the two months leading up to the expiration. |

Hmm, the wayback machine (archive.org) tells me in 2006 through at least April 24th 2009 it was pointed to rickperry.org, but by July 18 2011 it was pointing to RonPaul2012.com. The record stills shows as created in 1998 so it was never completely unregistered therefore it appears likely that Rick Perry forgot to pay the renewal fee before 5/5/11 and it was then snapped up by someone via one of the expired domain sniping/auction services and registered for 10 years.

Perry has "people" for this sort of thing (I've yet to learn of a politician that could type competently, nevermind registering a domain). My guess? The tech/billing/admin contacts were probably former staff members. Emails go out, and might as well be black holed. |

You may be right, but that's 3 guys. 3 guys whose email ought to have been forwarded to someone else (actually, they should have registered the domain for a time period longer than the presidential election). That really doesn't bode well for him if he is losing that much staff, and it's that disorganized. |
