I like them, but i have to admit that they're all kinds of cheesey and kinda cultish, everyone who sees them either loves or hates them

Idk, I did think it was kinda cool having Vin Diesel punch a bunch of aliens to death.

I really enjoyed Pitch Black. I have a sci-fi fetish for sure.  I'm slightly ashamed of my soft spot for Vin Diesel. He's a guilty pleasure.

I liked it a lot better than the second movie - that took a lean, spare scfi-fi thriller (Pitch Black) and turned it into a a messy pile of science-fantasy nonsense.

The third one was a lot better, even though it started with the nonsense.  Back to basics...even if "Back to Basics" was more or less a rehash of the first movie.  But it had a space puppy.

I honestly thought it was a remake of the first one. It was basically the same story.

I liked it.  Some of the lines felt forced but it was decent. Plus full frontal makes me happy.

The second one developed the Riddick character far more than a story like the first and third could. The third was a step back in this regard.

Diesel has the same range as Seagal. They are exactly the same in every film.

"What are we playing here, retard bingo?"

That was an actual line in this national treasure of a screenplay.

If you've seen Pitch Black then for all intents and purposes you've seen Riddick.

I'm truly sorry you didn't enjoy this movie, I hear the movie On Golden Pond may be more to your liking.

There were some "WTFBBQ?!?" plot elements but overall it was a pretty enjoyable 2 hours of fun if you took it for what it was.

Pitch Black was awesome.  The second movie just tried too hard and ended up being annoying.

Yea it was one of my favorite parts as well

Then again I have been in Afghanistan for 5 months and all tits are looking good these days.

I don't think this one made enough money
Diesel only got it made because they wanted him bad enough in the Fast / Furious films that they cut him a deal.
I think the last movie sucked; I was highly disappointed.

The first 3/4 was pretty good.  The ending was kind of a rehash of pitch black and was anti climactic.

good movie,, though the end was Pitch Black rehashed.

In fact, that is how anti-venom is made.  Horses are injected with small doses of venom and they build antibodies (immunoglobulins) against it.  Those antibodies are then separated from the blood, and freeze-dried for use in humans who get bit by venomous snakes.

I like all the Riddick movies. I just watched Riddick last night seeing as it is playing on the premium channels (can't remember which) and liked it.

So in the beginning of the movie, when Riddick is attacked by the lone jackal after getting out of the water hole, he removes a belt buckle or codpiece or something and tosses it, the jackal whimpers then goes away.  Didn't understand why.  Didn't make any sense.

Thoughts?
