Just a little background information. I live in PA.
I have a coworker up from Georgia training for work. His residence is GA. He wants to buy an AR and I have an extra complete lower that I would like to sell him. Am I able to sell it to him here in PA even though his residence is GA? I can type up a Bill of Sale. Any info would be great. Thanks |

It will have to through an FFL ...... that is, you both go to a PA gun shop and fill out the paper work and he takes possesion of the gun.
Also, I believe you have to declare a value of the gun and pay the 6% PA sales tax - could be wrong with this ............. Take it to your favorite and most trusted gun shop. But, I seem to remember something about only being able to do this type of transfer with a boadering state in PA - your FFL should know the rules. Worst case, it will have to be shipped to an FFL in GA and the transfer done there. |
