Hello team arfcom! Rob here from RightToBear.com
We're switching the website over to a responsive design and I need your expert customer feedback. We've been going back and forth with the designers for over a month and we're getting ready to finalize. I'd like to get my final input from the people that matter most. Basically a responsive design is a website that adapts to the size of the device being used. You can bring the website up in a desktop browser and literally watch it change as you shrink the browser down to the size of a tablet or mobile phone. Here's what I've been focusing on and if anyone has any input on how to make it better, please let me know. - Ease of navigation. How can we make the layout better? Navigating though sub categories, moving through checkout, etc. - Is the content proportional? Should we change text size, cart button size, etc.? - Colors and contrast. Does the important text and content "pop"? Is it easy to pick up? is it easy on the eyes? - Product pages. Are the pictures, price, descriptions in their ideal places? Should we move things around? change size and color? - Really anything that would make the user experience better and increase usability. I'm open to all suggestions! The responsive draft can be found at the link below. Please note that draft is not a fully functioning website. It only has some of our products and the inventory is waaay off. Do not place an order. It will not be processed. RightToBear DRAFT WEBSITE If anyone wants to get really detailed and write up a 1-3 page word document with dozens of points, there's an incentive. Email [email protected] for details. |
| Looked at the site on my phone and tablet. Looks good either view. The backgrounds of the product pages look a bit dark. When looking at a single product , like the receivers for example, when selecting that page, the background looks a bit dark and takes away from the details of the product. |
| I looked around a little bit. The site looks good to me. Big font, easy to read. One thing I did notice that I see on other sites is when you click to see a larger picture of an item the pic does not get larger. In some cases it is a little smaller. Maybe that is just the way it is. I also noticed on the Streamlight TLR-3 the lumens are not listed ( unless I missed it ). To most of us here we know the lumens. To someone new to lights it would be important. I'll see if I can look some more later. |

When you click on a product category it takes you to that page and shows the products you have then at the bottom of the page (under all the products ) you talk about the types i.e barrels.I think that each product page should have that info at the top of each page.I hope this makes sense.Good looking site. Will us beta testers be receiving our discount code by email or snail mail |

All these guys are too serious with their replies.
Personally... I like the "old" design website that currently has the 80% Cerro Forge lowers at $26.00. :) Can you use more colors? I think it will make it more dynamic. Having given you the plug for the day.... I am sure it will be appreciated by everyone that will visit your site that you are trying to make it work for all devices. |
I didn't know you guys were a partner here. I ordered a Ballistic Advantage 10.5 from you guys recently at a smoking price, then like a week later FAXON came out with their 10.5 and 4 ounces lighter such rage
Honestly when I bought from you guys then I was tremendously impressed with the categories and sorting function on your site, much like Primary Arms. My pet peeves is when phone numbers and other stuff isn't clickable and you have to copy and paste. Everything looks good. |

The menu button doesn't work on my iPhone. Also the box that pops after adding an item to my cart isn't displaying properly. At the very top of the box in the black it says CARTADDED TO CART all in one line and the first C is actually outside of the box on the left. Directly below that is the small photo of the item I added with ADDED TO CART right beside it again. Part of that photo and line of text are cut off at the bottom.
The box also closes on its own after a second and doesn't give you much time to chose to start checkout or continue shopping. I would recommend making it so the box stays open until the customer clicks one of the two options or closes it. |

Looks good here. Desktop with FireFox. Everything seems nice and speedy.
Although I suspect the content is just for testing, your shipping page still has Thanksgiving hours and you're a little late with the inauguration sale. ;) Something I was wanting on both sites was the ability to sort barrels by length. For example, show me all 10.3 to 11.5 5.56 barrels. It may not be possible to allow the customer to select multiple subcategories with that CMS, at least easily... |
