They seem decent, ceramic breaker plate, UMHWPE backing, light padding on the ceramic facing, supposed to be stand alone, about 5 lbs each.
Some videos on YouTube testing them. I put them in an inteceptor vest what has the soft armor in it. I haven't shot myself with it so I can't say for sure it will work, but feels solid. I had a USMC plate carrier and USMC IMTV, and a Large inteceptor vest, all with original SAPI plates. I gave them away in Aug when I retired. Figured I wouldn't need them. Talk about bad timing. |
