The thing that I am most interested in with respect to the Georgia US Senatorial run off election is voter participation. It should be similar to the presidential election, but if it's not, hoo-boy. What I mean is if a significant number of Republican voters sit this one out that spells trouble. No, I don't mean the Dems gain seats, I mean war. The vote in Georgia was basically 2.4 million or so votes for each Trump and Bidet. If the Senate races go 2 million for Dem candidates, and 1 million for Repub candidates that means a loss of faith in the system. If 50% of the conservative electorate in Georgia is no longer willing to participate, what does the mean for the country as a whole? Yeah. |

View Quote The 2020 election proved that our votes do not matter, as if anyone had any doubts, this sealed the deal. We all knew that our votes basically do not matter and the electoral college is what really matters in the big scheme of things. I hate to say this but, does it really matter if GA voters sit this one out? Dominion is still there, all the pieces are still on the board, nothing has changed since November, no arrests, nothing. Not to be the Debbie downer, but this shit of "two more weeks, trust me," is getting really fucking old. Everyday feels like Groundhog Day if all we focus on is the 2020 election day, and GD board doesn't help either. And the talking heads on TV are already spewing the "its ok guys, the R's might retake the House in 2022, and we might just have a real shot at 2024." Well fuck that. I have no idea how to fix this mess, but I can fix myself and focus on self-improvement. There's a lot everyone can do at the local level, from dog catcher, to Mayor. My area is pretty much a lost cause thanks to drugs and weak people, so the hell with them. My long term goals are getting the fuck out of WV and God willing, move to Texas and start making waves there. Just because the 2020 election is fucked, doesn't mean your life has to be. |

Long thread inside Good news is the wife and I voted today for the (R) Senators. The bad news it was on Dominion machines. We have little faith our votes mean anything. I use to get excited to vote, now it feels like I'm just going through the motion. Yeah. Means they've shifted beyond the point of thinking the ballot box is still one of the useable boxes. /media/mediaFiles/sharedAlbum/hes_right_you_know-328.jpg yurp |

Looks like he's alone in a swamp, but he's got the heart and spirit of a lion. That makes sense. I'm looking for the river crossing in everything. I've got my kayak ready in case. I've got a couple sea kayaks ready in that case, too. |
