Police say the owner of a vehicle that was stolen out of Tacoma used GPS to track it to Federal Way. The owner, a 42-year-old Tacoma man, told police that the suspect a 29-year-old man, reportedly pointed a handgun at home so he shot the suspect.


The suspected car thief was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he’s in stable condition as of Friday morning.

Police say the owner of the vehicle was interviewed and released.

Police added it’s never a good idea to try to find a stolen car yourself. Well, in SeaTac, is it a good idea to wait for the cops to find it for you?

A 41-year-old man ran down a teenager with his vehicle in North Dakota this week, killing him. The suspect later claimed that the teen was part of an extremist Republican group.

   Man admits to killing teen after political dispute in Foster Co., court docs allege

   A community is mourning the loss of an 18-year-old man from Grace City, North Dakota, as investigators look into what led up to a deadly crash. Foster County Deputies were called to a hit-and-run that happened in an alleyway near Johnston Street and Jones Avenue in McHenry, ND.

   Court documents say at 2:35 Sunday morning, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt called 911 to report that he had hit a pedestrian because he was threatening him. Brandt told State Radio that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were “coming to get him.” The pedestrian has been identified in a GoFundMe page as 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson.

   After visiting the scene where the incident happened, deputies went to Brandt’s house in Glenfield, ND, which is about 12 minutes from the crash scene. Brandt admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident, and stated he hit Ellingson with his car because he had a political argument with him. Brandt also admitted to deputies that he initially left the crash scene, then returned to call 911, but left again before deputies could arrive.

Its cut that was popularized in Brazil.  It has a nice fat cap.  I sliced it into 1 1/2 thick pieces and put them on a hanging skewer and threw them in my drum smoker over a higher heat - more of a sear but some of the smoke came through nice.

At the time i worked at the American Stock Exchange located at 86 Trinity Place - my office, rather cubical was in an attached building on the 10th floor, which happened to be the top floor, of 22 Thames.  That morning when 1 WTC was struck, I was at my desk composing an email.  The lights flickered and a loud rumbling sound was heard.  It sounded like the steel plates used to cover excavations in city streets had been dropped.  I went to an office overlooking Greenwich St facing west.  I saw some clothing on fire float by the window.  A few people were in a meeting in the conference room on my floor and I told them there had been an explosion of some sort at the Trade Center.  I proceeded down 10 flights of stairs out onto Greenwich St just south of 2 WTC.  Burning papers were swirling around 2 WTC and falling all around me.  People on the street were saying a small plane hit 1 WTC.  I went back into my building to the main lobby on 86 Trinity to take an elevator back to my desk.  As I boarded the elevator 2 people came in carrying a third.  He had been run over by a car when the driver was distracted by the plane hitting 1 WTC.  All 3 were covered in what looked like popcorn - I later realized it was likely the asbestos insulation in 1 WTC.  They helped him to a doctor's office in the building.  I returned to my desk and called my wife to ask her to turn on the news to see what was going on.  I left a voicemail as she was dropping my son off at school.  Minutes? later a woman in my office who was looking out a window facing north started screaming - that's when 2 WTC got hit.  It shook my building.  I ran to the window and saw a huge fireball.  At this point I realized we were under attack.  I made my way down the stairs to the lobby exit by 86 Trinity Place.  Security was telling people no one could leave - it was too dangerous due to falling debris.  I saw two people I worked with and told them - this isn't an accident, we are under attack and those buildings are going to fall on us.  We have to get out of here.  They listened and followed me to the exit onto Greenwich St which was closer to 2 WTC.  We ran outside.  At this point I lost track of them.  I stood in the street and stared at the hole in the side of 2 WTC.  I don't know how long, but at some point someone screamed lookout.  Glass from the windows from 2 WTC started falling in the street around us - there were already some body parts scattered about.  At that point I ran south, I distinctly remember a female NYPD officer on her radio at the intersection of Greenwich and Rector.  I ran - not stopping until I got to Bowling Green subway station.  I stopped to stare at the smoke and fire pouring out of the towers and tried calling my wife again but all circuits were busy.  I then went down into the subway to head to Brooklyn, the fastest way off of Manhattan, people were getting off the train with no idea of what was going on, I was yelling at them get back on the train and they must have thought I was crazy or soemething.  I boarded a LIRR train heading East away from the city and while waiting in Jamaica watched 2 WTC collapse.  It was around that time I was finally able to make a cell phone call to my grandmother, the only person i could get through to as all circuits seemed to be busy- to ask her to let my family know I was ok.  Many/most of my co-workers headed the advice of security and stayed in the building until the 1st tower collapsed - then they all fled in darkness and dust.  In retrospect I was fortunate - I listened to my instincts.  That said, loud noises still startle me occasionally but no where near what it was 10 to 15 years ago.  Sorry for the wall of text.  I have some family members who aren't well and combined with the 9/11 anniversary I wanted to share/vent.
