Is there a contradiction here, or is it just me? It seems like at least with the cop situation, there was an attempt to follow due process before the bad guy fought that process and then the cop overstepped and negligently killed him. In the riot situation there is no attempt at due process - we just skip right to the killin'. At the end of both scenarios, someone died because they tried to steal stuff. Before anyone starts with the "passing counterfeit money isn't the same as looting" argument, would you be okay with the cop's actions if Floyd had done a smash-n-grab instead? The cop's actions should be wrong no matter what the offense was, correct? I still hold the cop was over the line, and it *seems* like shop owners should be able to defend their stores, but I'm having a hard time making a logical argument why the cop's actions should be murder, but the shop owner's wouldn't be. Every inner city has outreach centers. Any town of any size has community colleges. Tuition can be nominal or even waived. Most cities are ran by black mayors, black city councils and black police chiefs. Inner city police departments are not Lilly white. Large city criminal cases are so backloggec that plea bargaining occurs in the vast majority of cases, and if one goes to prison from an inner city their crime was egregious or their criminal record finally caught up with them. Affirmative Action. Hiring quotas. Set asides. Eventually the question is going to have to be asked, and issues addressed-the black community brings a lot of their issues on themselves. Ain't nobody asking those questions. We are going to keep running down this "white folks are the devil" road until the world runs out of white folks. I've tried to ask those questions. And also why if black lives matter so much why the black-on-black murder rate is never brought up. And I got called racist for asking that. White people aren't allowed to ask those questions. Black people usually won't and the ones that do are marginalized and called all sorts of names. And so it continues. I'm done, I have ceased giving a fuck about them after this. |

Most of those people end up going to prison. Shooting someone breaking into a vehicle in the driveway with no warning may or may not be legal in your AO. Personally I'm not talking about someone stealing a car or crack head stealing phone chargers. Now a person kicking in my door or preparing to burn my home or otherwise cause violence is relevant here. That can, will, and should get a violent response. If I'm at a job or whatever and someone breaks into my vehicle that sucks but I have insurance. Break into my home or come down my driveway at 11 pm with a vehicle full of goons carrying guns or molotov and that's a very different situation. Basically my approach is that I hope there is video because my action is reasonable man rule. |

For the last 48 hrs I’ve been having to unfollow probably 30 pages on FB from their public support of “protests” and the blm hashtags. Not sure if it’s the media only showing the Kumbaya bs that occurs during the day and that’s what they think they’re supporting or what. |

It’s racist simply because Floyd was black, the cop is white. That’s it. The Ministry of Truth decided it was racist, decided the cops mindset, and wrote the narrative, with no evidence. That is terrifying. Nobody supports what the cop did, nobody says Floyd deserved it, but it’s assumed to be racially motivated based on the race of the cop. |

Have you ever watched local news or looked at billboards in the inner city? References to programs and community efforts to fight violent crime are everywhere, but there's no controversy. Also, people have standards and expectations for professionals that represent government, and there are no standards for criminals. |

It’s the most basic and frequently wrong way to profile. The point was, you can’t tell anything about the people’s ideology by how they dress, and people may even dress up “as” other “types” to lay blame on one category of people or another. |

A LEO I know was talking about what they should do to help repair relations. As in "taking an oath" to the people. I shot back real quick: What about just follthe original Oath you took when taking your job. How many more meet and greet with the WWE, NFL,NHL,MBA,.... do you need? How many more pairs of shoes or free bikes do we give away? How many times do people get to throw a ball to dunk a Sheriff? Why not just not do the things tha are pissing people off ETA: it just pissed me off that the mentality really is to just give more shit away and say the right things. Who's going to be doing the prosecuting? The deep state FBI? State AGs like antifa AG Keith Ellison? Decision should be made to disrupt the organizers to end the riots, then get evidence. How many more communities need to burn so a lazy prosecutor can have their slam dunk that results in a plea anyway? Or do those black communities not matter? I get what you're saying, but if that's the case, maybe they should worry less about signing chain of custody forms and more about ending riots. |

Stop sending your kids to public institutions for their education. Hell most parents use them as glorified and free day care services, so they can fulfill their own selfish goals. Start taking responsibility for your own.
Stop letting your kids spend 90% of their free time on social media and in front of the TV. Stop letting outsiders into your communities who only want to poison your wells and deplete your soil. Make them feel unwelcome and unwanted. The only way we can cure this disease now is to stop exposing our children to it. And it will take several generations. |

Declaring a group a terrorist organization would allow for methods not generally used by local leo. nits are the new black, data can be indexed for patterns that allow for identification of people on any platform by who and how they communicate with other devices. remember data is decrypted when you look at your phone... mspd isn't working on parallel construction and doesn't have access to dod work product. personally i'd rather see looters shot than having additional survalence powers used here. |

Some are posting their statements due to their actual beliefs while others are publishing statements because they feel obliged or threatened. That's not right, but it's the reality of today's world. It is pretty much shades of grey. I support their right to protest, hell, I support anybody's right to protest, even distasteful shit like the KKK, La Raza, NBPs (because freedom applies to things I dislike or find stupid). I don't support organizations that morph into something beyond what their founders envisioned. BLM has turned into a neo marxist organization, the Tea Party was co-opted and destroyed by the RINO right, MADD morphed into a prohibitionist movement and so on and so on. I also do not support protests that interfere with the rights of others to go about their business or cause even "unintentional" harm. You block a road of highway and prevent free movement both of regular people, commerce and emergency services, you are no longer protesting, you are causing harm. Obviously graffiti, looting, arson and assault are totally unacceptable as well. I do not discount there still being racism in this country, it is there and it takes many colors, shapes and forms. What that cop did was egregious but I don't think it was motivated by race, I think it was more asshole cop with an aggression problem and equally as asshole noncompliant suspect. I don't doubt that if the suspect was white the outcome would have likely been the same. Thing is, few would have given a shit beyond "wow, that is fucked up" if some white career criminal was kneed to death by an overzealous cop None of this shit will ever get solved if nobody is willing to look within their own communities and see where they are fucking up. That needs to be addressed first but never does. |
