LOL that was hilarious. You know a lot of old comedy comes off as very corny and just not funny. His comedy really stands up to the years, in my opinion. I looked up that movie he was plugging, this interview was from 1983. [EDIT: Oh I missed that the year was right in the title of the video]

I saw him in concert in like 1982 during his "No Respect" tour at the . I was 16 and had to buy the old man a ticket just so I could go.

Totally worth it.

I went to the Laugh Factory in Hollywood CA many years ago. I was almost to the front of the line to get in when someone pushed me out of the way and walked past me. It was Rodney Dangerfield, wearing a pair of old guy coveralls. He wasn't performing but was there to watch/listen. The MC called him up to stage for a round of applause. He pulled out a list of jokes out of his pocket and gave an impromptu show.

30 seconds later I'm crying with laughter and he put the other comedians to shame.
