I was crawling around on the roof yesterday, putting up lights and almost immediately after I came down, it felt like I was fisting fiberglass insulation! Any explanation for this? Not the first roof I've been on and I have never experienced this before. Feels like 15-20 fibrous splinters in each hand.

Asphalt shingles?

There is a fiberglass type material in it, if not fiberglass.

Could also just be tons of tiny scratches.
