mine is just the po' boy version:
root beer extract (pick your poison) champagne yeast sugar water 1 liter water bottle, empty contents into a sauce pan measure 1/8 tsp of yeast and put into now empty bottle sugar to preference into the bottle with yeast, for store bought sweet, use between 1/2 and 3/4 cup, although I prefer a little drier heat water to approximately 100*, return to bottle root beer extract to taste, I usually use 1 tsp (IIRC, it's been a while) let sit in a cool dark environment for about a week, make sure to check the bottle for overpressure, burp as needed. chill when ready to enjoy. |
