My local Big Box Sporting Goods Store has a Ruger Precision in 308, in stock.  Price is 1199.99.

I happened to be near it, so figured I'd stop in to see if they had any 22 in stock (they did...and more than I've seen in one place in a long time too).

Happened to see one on the wall, asked and found out it was the 243 model, but the guy said he thought he might have a 308 in the back, and sure enough he did.

The price actually isn't bad.  It's pretty close to what I've seen GunBroker Auctions going for, without the CC, Shipping, and Transfer fees, although i'll have to pay sales tax.

What say the hive, do I fo or no?  I've been looking at this rifle for a while, and just haven't come across one in stock yet.

Definitely fo.

And be sure to take it to a 25 yard range to sight it in just to piss off any arfcommers that you may run into.

I just wish I shot well enough to need super precision.

Get the 6.5C , it is the most accurate out of the box with that rifle.
