+1 on great book!

Haven't ever seen the movie. Only get CBS on the tube. Still haven't seen it.

Grocery store had it last spring in a special display/purchase. But by the time payday rolled around they'd taken the display down.

A pretty good submarine movie with Clark Gable & Burt Lancaster starring. It is in the same league with Das Boot and Crimson Tide, just much older.

Both great movies-good suspenseful, wartime drama. Men against men, the hunter and the hunted. Two thumbs up!

Both are great. The Book is better though.

Great movie, especially for its time.

Still, the conflict between Gable and Lancaster always struck me as a bit overdone.
