Has anyone here ever run to be a congressman or directly taken part in a campaign that either won or lost?

Yep. I have 14 wins and three losses. Most of my clients are Judges, Commisioners and such. I just beat a sitting Judge (18 years on the bench) this November.

It takes tons of money to even run for dog catcher. You can be dumb as a brick but if you have a big checkbook, you can win. Cynical eh?

Will this change with the law allowing candidates to draw salary from campaign funds.
Or is this more a function of greed from the National committees so they can save their ammo for a few important races?
