After consideration, the Seimas approved the proposal to repeal the constitutional amendment banning nuclear weapons Press release on September 22, 2026 (Seimas news ● Seimas photos ● Seimas broadcasts and video recordings ) After deliberation, the Seimas approved a constitutional amendment that aims to remove the provision that weapons of mass destruction and foreign military bases cannot be located on Lithuanian territory. After the discussion, 99 members of the Seimas voted in favor of this amendment (bill No. XVP-1729(2)), 13 voted against, and 5 parliamentarians abstained. According to the Seimas statute, once the procedure for adopting a constitutional amendment begins, there must be two votes in the Seimas session, with at least a 3-month interval between these votes. A draft law amending the Constitution is considered adopted by the Seimas if, in each vote, at least two-thirds of all members of the Seimas, i.e., 94 parliamentarians, vote in favor of the draft. According to the draft's author, Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas, since the adoption of the Constitution, Lithuania's security environment, the country's international situation, and measures to ensure national security have fundamentally changed. "NATO's nuclear deterrence is one of the essential parts of the Alliance's collective defense architecture. The purpose of NATO's nuclear capabilities is to preserve peace, prevent nuclear blackmail and violence, and provide reliable deterrence. This deterrence system, as part of collective defense, has been operating for many decades and is one of the most important factors reducing the risk of large-scale aggression against the Alliance," the Speaker of the Seimas has said. According to J. Olekas, in recent years the European security situation has changed significantly, and Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the escalation of nuclear rhetoric, the modernization of nuclear capabilities, and the strengthening of military infrastructure in Lithuania's neighborhood, including the Kaliningrad region and Belarus, necessitate ensuring that Lithuania's ability to fully participate in NATO's deterrence system is not restricted. As noted during the Seimas session by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Remigijus Motuzas, the vast majority of NATO countries have no restrictions. "Our neighboring countries like Latvia, Estonia, and Poland also have no restrictions. Lithuania must clearly show its allies and opponents that it will defend its independence by all means. We cannot be less protected than other NATO countries. We must send a signal that Lithuania is a full-fledged part of NATO's nuclear deterrence," the politician emphasized. Reuters report Saudi Arabia has restarted operations at its East-West Pipeline and could resume exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu later on Tuesday, three sources briefed on the matter said. The pipeline was pumping at a low rate, two of them said. State energy firm Saudi Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment. From reading the comments, it sounds like it was a civilian drone that was just NEAR the base (.5-1Km) and they called 112 (I assume its their version of 911) when they located the drone operator. I could be wrong. When I was a Patrol cop, a large Navy base butted up to my sector and Id get calls sometimes for Navy dudes or dependents trying to enter the base DUI, with warrants, or suspended license. I asked them what they (DOD Police) will do in case of a real terrorist attack and they just said "call 911". I assume there is a more robust response now days. |

There's a strain of neoliberal thinking that says if domestic carmakers can’t compete, they should just be allowed to fail. No bailouts. Just let Japan or China make cars because of comparative advantage or whatever. Imagine if we had believed that automobile manufacturing was something to offshore. It's now clear that the argument for preserving that industrial base is not simply nostalgia for a previous bygone era. It simply is the case that you cannot improvise precision manufacturing overnight once it has disappeared. |

Russian mapper Radov confirmed my earlier information that Russian forces withdrew from northeastern Dobropillya and Hannivka, stating "Unfortunately, our troops have temporarily withdrawn from Annovka, but attacks on the village are ongoing. The enemy is using drones to counter our advances." It's also reported that the Ukrainian 1st Heavy Mechanised Brigade has been redeployed from Sumy Oblast to hold the area south of Dobropillya. Prior to this, Ukraine redeployed the reformed remnants of the 425th Assault Regiment "Skala" and 225th Assault Regiment, with the 225th also responsible for holding the area south of Dobropillya. The 425th is probably operating north and northeast of Dobropillya, alongside the 12th Azov Brigade, 25th Assault Brigade, elements of the 1st Assault Regiment "Da Vinci", 4th Rubizh Brigade, 20th Lyubart Brigade, 14th Chervona Kalyna Brigade, 15th Kara-Dag Brigade, and 38th Marine Brigade, among several other units, which are all concentrated to hold the areas east, southeast, and northeast of the city. Ukraine has concentrated a large number of units, including elite ones, to hold Dobropillya as long as possible, and prevent another August 2025-style breakthrough.
Situation on the Dobropillya direction, Donetsk Oblast: Over the last two weeks, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have been carrying out assault operations, each achieving some successes, while Russia continues to expand their zone of infiltration. Following the arrival of reinforcements in the form of the reformed remnants of the 425th Assault Regiment "Skala" and 225th Assault Regiment, Ukrainian forces were able to regain some previously lost positions in and around Dobropillya. In the northeastern part of Dobropillya, they cleared the parts of the city previously infiltrated by Russian assault groups, as well as part of Hannivka. Russian forces were pushed back beyond the forests east of Hannivka to the dachas, where they are now launching attacks from, including deep DRG infiltrations towards the southern outskirts of Bilytske. South of Dobropillya, Ukrainian forces managed to clear parts of Krasnopodillya and Chernihivka from earlier Russian infiltrations, linking up with the Ukrainian strongpoints in Vodyanske and Svitle, which are now largely empty of Russian soldiers. Russian forces continued attacks towards the Vodyanske agglomeration from the east and southeast, engaging in fighting for the mine east of Shevchenko and, as of yesterday, infiltrating the eastern buildings of the tactically important Bilytska Mine. Fighting is also ongoing for the central and western parts of Bilytske, where the Russians were previously unable to consolidate their positions, but are slowly clearing the city block by block. Additionally, Russian forces managed to make some new advances west of Shevchenko, capturing a number of new treeline positions and infiltrating the villages of Dobropillya and Matyasheve. Due to the heavy destruction in Shevchenko, they are not focused on consolidating there, although there are no known Ukrainian positions in the main part of the village. As a result of these advances west of Shevchenko, Russian assault groups have begun infiltrating even further north, entering the southernmost street of Dobropillya city and some adjacent industrial buildings. DRGs have moved even further, entering the park on the western outskirts of the city. Infiltrations into Dobropillya are also taking place from the east along the railway line, where they are entering the southeastern-most part of the city. Northeast of Dobropillya, Russian forces have continued their infiltrations north of Stepy and Vilne after failing to consolidate their earlier captured positions. The grey-zone here is rapidly growing in size on both sides, with large areas simply being empty of soldiers from either side. Nevertheless, some isolated DRG infiltrations into Zolotyi Kolodyaz and the Novotroitske area, as well as assault group infiltrations into Hruzke and Vesele (which were later cleared) were recorded. Russia was able to slightly improve their positions northwest of Shakhove and captured the remaining positions south of Novomykolaivka, and are continuing to infiltrate into the clay quarries from the latter. + ~14.24 km² in favour of Russia. + ~6.65 km² in favour of Ukraine.

It's worth pointing out (the linked article didn't include/consider this) that Narva sits about 5 miles east of a complex of power plants that supply 95% of Estonia's power. Estonia's grid is linked to the EU, so it wouldn't permanently black them out if Russia took the stations or destroyed them..but they're a damn juicy target. I'd expect Russian SF or drone operators to take out the plants almost immediately, forcing the rest of the EU grid to pick up the slack, causing Tallinn to scream even harder for support, and weakening Europe all at once. |

The observer from «Yabloko» has shown how the election results were falsified in Moscow. During the vote count at polling station 440 in the capital, the observer for the «Yabloko» candidate Viktor Kogan-Yasny noticed that the ballots with preferences for
other politicians were being placed into the pile of the "United Russia" candidate Aleksandr Asafov. In response to the request to show the contents of the pile, the heads of the commission turned to an armed policeman carrying a submachine gun, who stated that the observer could subsequently file a complaint, but for the moment, he had to step away from the table. The commission also argued that the footage of the ballot counting was prohibited, as the ballots allegedly contained personal data. 😆 In the end, the observer was not shown not even a single card from Asafov's stack, although the video still documented that cards for other candidates were being inserted into Asafov's stack. We recall that previously "Sota" reported the testimony of another Moscow observer, according to whom The data on the voting results were simply transmitted from the territorial district without any counting of the votes. They started threatening with the police and brought in a police officer. The chairwoman demanded to "seize" the recorded materials because they were filmed from the "wrong place," and the police officer tried to do that. Here, from us, personal respect to the observer who stood his ground until the end and said everything very correctly.
The police officer decided that the observer was "disrupting the process" (which wasn't the case; it's the commission's direct duty to conduct the count in such a way that everyone can see the marks). Buoyed by this, the commission at that moment started yelling about the lawlessness, which we couldn't help but agree with.
After dropping off the observer in Kamchatka, they deliberately blocked his view and continued the psychological attack: to all the observer's requests to show him the ballots, howls came from the swamps about how he was somehow interfering with the work of the commission. That's the kind of work people do—falsifying elections.
And finally, an excerpt from a video where you can see that in the ballots being placed into Asafov's stack, there are no marks for him.

In the Krasnoperekopsky district of Yaroslavl, a temporary polling station No. 2098 appeared during the elections, although there was no decision to form it: consequently, real voters could not vote there, the channel "Elections State Duma Roast" noted: "We look at the result in the district at this polling station — the United Russia candidate and Yaroslavl Mayor Artem Molchanov receive 87% or 2232 out of 2564 votes. Within the entire district, Molchanov receives 40% at the phantom polling station. Would Molchanov have won without this — yes. But his victory would not have been so convincing — the closest rival, Anatoly Greshnevikov, garnered 2378 votes in the district, while Molchanov, excluding votes from polling station No. 2098, has 3544."

There's a strain of neoliberal thinking that says if domestic carmakers can’t compete, they should just be allowed to fail. No bailouts. Just let Japan or China make cars because of comparative advantage or whatever. Imagine if we had believed that automobile manufacturing was something to offshore. It's now clear that the argument for preserving that industrial base is not simply nostalgia for a previous bygone era. It simply is the case that you cannot improvise precision manufacturing overnight once it has disappeared.

I understand that since early August a senior official within ODNI, and a senior DoW official involved in directing energy technology have reported being targeted. These incidents involved suspect vehicles which may have contained a directed energy device. I asked the CIA, DoW, DHS, and DNI for comment about the analysis of the device, the uptick in suspected domestic attacks, the status of DNI Gabbard's report into these incidents. EXCLUSIVE: US Government Analysis of Suspect Device is 'Far Advanced' TOP LINE: NEW FINDINGS While the U.S. government’s undercover operation to obtain a device that may be behind debilitating brain and neurological injuries known as Havana Syndrome has been widely reported, I am sharing new findings about the technical analysis. The findings matter because I have confirmed a new cluster of suspected directed energy attacks on U.S. soil. DEEP DIVE: 'THEIR FINGERPRINTS ARE ALL OVER IT' Attribution for a device obtained by the U.S. government and suspected of a link to Havana Syndrome is 'far advanced,' according to national security sources, based on where and how it was obtained as well as analysis of the device’s technical signature. I am told the device’s components are indicative of a particular actor whose research and development of directed-energy technology is well known to the U.S. intelligence and defense communities. In the same way a homemade bomb or improvised explosive device has unique hallmarks of its bomb maker, the same can be said of the assembly of directed-energy devices. In this case, I understand the technical analysis has revealed a distinct signature. National security sources stopped short of explicitly naming the likely adversary, but said the findings have “their fingerprints all over it.” While the device is described as portable, and programmable, those who investigate directed-energy technology acknowledge the likelihood of multiple devices in existence, as well as proliferating technology. SPIKE IN REPORTED DOMESTIC INCIDENTS Earlier this month, I exclusively revealed that more than two dozen suspected incidents have recently been reported inside the United States, including a significant cluster of cases at an off-site U.S. government intelligence and research facility in Northern Virginia, according to my sources. Further, within the last three months, I understand that at least two senior U.S. government personnel working on directed-energy-related projects have reported suspected directed energy incidents in the greater Washington, D.C., area. The mysterious constellation of injuries known as Havana Syndrome takes its name from a cluster of cases in Cuba in 2016. Many subsequent cases involved government personnel whose portfolios touched on Russia or perceived Russian interests. It impacts spies, diplomats, military personnel and civilians. U.S. GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL INVESTIGATING DIRECTED ENERGY TECHNOLOGY REPORT BEING TARGETED In what may be a significant departure from previous targeting, I have documented a cluster of cases, several in 2021, involving U.S. government personnel investigating directed-energy weapon technology, as well as efforts to reverse-engineer a directed-energy device. Some victims report multiple attacks over a period of months, including at their government workplace and at their home. A working theory is that the initial incident or 'priming attack' confirms the target, in addition to injuring the brain. The follow-on, or “finishing,” attacks inflict even more damage to an already weakened individual. Experts in the field emphasize the injuries can get progressively worse over time. In February, in his first on-camera interview, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Space Force, whom I agreed to call “Chris,” detailed five separate directed-energy weapon attacks at his Northern Virginia home throughout 2020. His wife, “Heidi,” a civilian is collateral damage in the attacks. Chris said the directed-energy exposure caused more than 40 confirmed symptoms, including traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which have been validated as “service connected” by VA records. He attributed the attacks to Russia targeting his classified intelligence work and links Russia to prior surveillance. Chris urged full U.S. government acknowledgment, including the Purple Heart, to counter this evolving threat. Chris and Heidi were later interviewed by 60 Minutes. IRAN RESTORES HALF OF DAMAGED SOUTH PARS GAS CAPACITY Iran says it has restored roughly 50% of the production capacity damaged at the South Pars gas field, according to Deputy Oil Minister Ahmad Zeraatkar, cited by the semi-official Fars News Agency. The field was struck during the war, and Tehran says the remaining planned restoration work is expected to be completed before winter. In late August, Iran reported that about 40% of the damaged capacity was back online.
A pattern is emerging in which Houthi commanders who previously posed for selfies in Bab al-Mandab are being tracked down and targeted in precision airstrikes Among the commanders whose names have surfaced is Hamad Mutahar Mohsen Ghalib, known as Abu Taan, from Al-Qafr district in Ibb governorate. He reportedly joined the Houthi movement early in its development, fought on several fronts and sustained multiple injuries. He later held several security positions, including commander of the Central Security Forces in Ibb and security director of Ibb, Al-Udayn and Hubaysh districts. Separately, other senior Houthi commander Abu Jihad Alawi and two other fighters, Sadiq Abdullah Qa'ban and Hussein Abdullah Al-Daidi, were also killed. Alawi had reportedly been appointed commander of the Houthi Hashid Military Axis.
Hamas's top financial official was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip a short while ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announce. The strike in Khan Younis killed Mohammed Abu Alwan, the head of the terror group's financial department, they say in a joint statement. The IDF has not yet issued a statement on the strike. |
