🇷🇺🇺🇦 Kursk Direction
Situation as of 1 pm on August 25, 2024 The situation in the Kursk region remains difficult but under control. The intensity of combat operations has gradually decreased compared to previous days, transitioning to a positional phase. 🔻In the Korenevsky District, clashes continue on the approaches to Kremyanoye, in Krasnooktyabr'skiy, and in the area of Snahost. No advances by the enemy in this sector have been reported. 🔻In the Sudzhansky District, Russian forces are holding positions in Malaya Loknya, where the AFU attempt attacks towards the women's jail, each time meeting a worthy rebuff. No changes in the combat situation overnight have been recorded in Cherkasskoye Porechnoe, as well as in the areas of Russkaya Konopel'ka and Cherkasskaya Konopel'ka. 🔻Russian forces have destroyed another enemy air defense system in the border area of Sumy region. This time, a Buk-M1 system hidden in a building in Hrytsenkove was hit.

An Israeli soldier aboard a Navy vessel was killed and two others were hurt amid this morning’s Hezbollah attack on northern Israel. The slain sailor is named as Petty Officer First Class David Moshe Ben Shitrit, 21, of the Navy's 914th Patrol Squadron, from Geva Binyamin-Adam. The other two soldiers are listed in moderate and light condition. According to an initial IDF probe, the sailors on a Dvora-class patrol boat off the coast of northern Israel were hit by shrapnel from an Iron Dome interceptor missile, as at least two Hezbollah drones flew over the area. The military is investigating the possibility that the interceptor missile was tracking one of the Hezbollah drones and then, due to unknown circumstances, swapped to target the ship and exploded directly above it. Another possibility, although considered less likely, is that the interceptor missile managed to intercept one of the drones just above the ship, but also wounded the sailors. Footage from the incident shows an Iron Dome interceptor missile exploding adjacent to the ship. Parts of the interceptor missile were found inside the ship after the incident. The Dvora ship is currently being repaired and will return to service by tomorrow. View Quote |

The Palianytsia knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the Palianytsia from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the Palianytsia is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the Palianytsia must also know where it was. The Palianytsia guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the Palianytsia has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

The Republican Party has been failing to develop an alternative vision for America, for the future, for years while the world grows steadily more evil and more authoritarian. View Quote I have always disagreed with the notion that we are exceptional. It gives rise to arrogance and conceit. What exactly, is exceptional about America? Our Constitution, more importantly the Bill of Rights, is exceptional. Something both parties have taken turns using it for toilet paper. We are not smarter, harder working, more creative, honest, moral, spiritual or healthier than at least a dozen other nations. Probably two dozen other nations. We were once world leaders in public education, we are pitiful now. Many cities graduate young men and women who can't read at 7th grade levels. How does a person get to graduate high school when they are borderline retarded? Urban gangs are committing murder in some communities at rates that would make Central America blush. When the Valentines Day Massacre happened, I think seven (7) people were killed, it shocked the nation. Ten times that many get murdered in Chicago over the course of a Holiday weekend as a rule, and we yawn. We are tearing ourselves apart at the seams politically. There are no centrist members of Congress. None. JFK would be considered far right by today's Democratic Party, and they call that progress. Trump is popular because he is basically a middle finger to the Democratic Party, what does he offer beyond that? Based on my age and my health, I will probably be dead in five years. I will never see the ship righted. I was inspired by Ronald Reagan in 1980 because he was a well-spoken, patriotic, anti-communist, reduce government waste and spending - conservative. He knew how to wield military power and not start a war; he spoke softly and carried a big stick. I don't have the answer to America's crisis, the problem is nobody else seems too either. The idea that we are somehow exceptional may be our unraveling. |
