~30 sec video of MK-19 post grid square erasing of RU forces.
🇺🇦" This was a 2-hour assault on Russian positions in the Kursk direction. The MK (automatic grenade launcher) crew supported the infantry's assault operations, and our pilots corrected the guys' work. Such a tandem is extremely important because after being worked over by the MK, when our infantry takes the enemy positions, the enemy is no longer very inclined to fight. |

Owned as my opinion: I've already become actively involved locally in the election campaign from grass roots to the White House and will continue to work and donate. But the DS is exponentially stonger today than in 2020, and there is no way in hell they will allow Trump to be elected again. The process itself has been totally compromised. That does NOT mean giving up or suppressing voter turnout. What it does mean is thinking smart, out of the box, and instead of diluting energy arguing about what Trump will or won't do when elected, I'm planning and thinking what I WILL do when the DS puts another of their puppets in office.

⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️A terrorist attack was being prepared for City Day in Rostov-on-Don! A Ukrainian terrorist has been detained.
The detainee planned to blow up trains and power plants. The saboteur operated under the call sign Loviatar. The militant was well trained. According to security agencies, he took courses with NATO instructors, where he was trained in mine and explosive handling, terrain orientation, camouflage and other skills useful for sabotage. In Rostov, the terrorist rented an apartment in which he assembled homemade bombs and prepared an explosive mixture. On assignment from the SBU and the GUR, he was supposed to blow up trains and power plants on assignment from the SBU and the GUR. During interrogation, Loviatar admitted that he planned to detonate an explosion on the tracks leading to Crimea on City Day in Rostov.! https://t.me/etorostov/65438 |

When Russia was trying to talk India into paying to complete development of the SU-57 they eventually had to let the Indians test the radar return, after which Indian interest plummeted to zero. The numbers leaked a little while later and it was practically a barn door flying broadside on compared to everything else. I assume the airframe used for that test had the best possible workmanship; judging from horror show photos of other SU-57's they pretty much gave up on pretending the plane had any stealth characteristics at all after that.

So, apparently forget surpassing Lockmart or Northrup-Grumman, the Russians are still trying to get past Hawker-Siddeley or something! |

So, apparently forget surpassing Lockmart or Northrup-Grumman, the Russians are still trying to get past Hawker-Siddeley or something! Was it the Vulcan that had unintentional stealth characteristics from some angles? Unknown; I heard this third-hand at best and I have no idea how specific he was in identifying types. Blackburn and a few others also had some "unintentionally stealthy" aircraft in this era as well, but they generally are not considered very successful, as they were pricey and stuff like the F86 could run circles around them in the performance department (never mind something more current to the 1960's like a Vought F-8) and the general consensus seems to be that they had flight handling characteristics only slightly better than that of a truck launched from a giant trebuchet. A fascinating and somewhat lengthy "deep dive" if you are fan of jet-age development. Kind of fascinating that the Brits could simultaneously build metric-breaking designs like the Avro Vulcan, the Harrier, the Hawker Hunter and the BAC Lighting among others while simultaneously paying WAY too much money to field stuff like the D/H Sea Vixen and the Supermarine Scimitar. |

I still have a tab of it open, right next to this one. Hope abounds for some unlocking to happen and activity there again- it's a 5,000-page thread!...it shouldn't go to waste. Go see the thread now; it's mostly a ghost town. It was wrong to moderate that great thread into the ground- apparently some mods clearly don't appreciate the consequences when they make huge thread-wrecking decisions by taking things too far. Moderation powers should be wielded like a scalpel, not a freaking broadsword, or claymore. That's my rant; no poll incoming. Mods don't act without approval of staff, that's been stated on a number of occasions. I don't know why that thread was allowed to be literally moderated to death, but that's what happened. Keeping election talk out along with trolls was a good thing. But there was much more than that going on. The weird thing is that it wasn't always like that. The first 15-18 months of that thread went just fine with an occasional troll getting booted. Then something happened and it completely changed. Oh well. I still think that thread stands as an excellent comprehensive resource for the first 18 months of the 2022 invasion. It's too bad it can't be catalogued and indexed with a table of contents. I wonder if Subnet or Goatboy could extract the entire thread and make an archive of it. It would be great to do topical searches of it. Heck, I'd like to find one of the songs that got posted in early 2022. You'll asked for it to be moderated more heavily. You'll got what you'll wanted, even if it was unknowingly asking for a safe space. The old (LoBrau) thread was aggressively moderated by the mods in order to try to keep it on track because lots of people complained about people trolling or trying to derail the thread. The moderation essentially took two forms. One was to boot people who were just posting pro-Russian stuff. The other was to avoid the thread being derailed by constant arguments about Trump, politics, etc. Eventually, the new thread was created because too many people were unhappy with the strict moderation of the old thread. Since then, the OP (LoBrau) of the old thread requested that aggressive moderation of the old thread ends, which we have been happy to implement. Ultimately, nobody WANTED strict moderation to keep trolls out and to keep the thread from being derailed. The mods HATE having to spent tons of time babysitting threads like this, and would much rather NOT have to deal with it. The mods and staff are thrilled to NOT have to deal with it. Unfortunately, by the time that word got out that mods were no longer aggressively moderating the old thread, I think most people had become accustomed to the new thread, and people never really returned to it. It's a shame, and I would love to see it return to prominence. Does that also mean that people who were banned from commenting in that thread (like me) are getting their posting ability reinstated there? @DK-Prof Because I would be delighted to help keep that thread alive again. That's an excellent point. I have removed the restriction. |

Found out that the F-16XL had half the RCS of an F-16A, which was a function only of the new wing plan and lack of elevators. British aircraft typically looking like they’ve been carved from soap and then left out in the rain probably made for some interesting angles for radar to work or not work from.
