You have your choice of ONE watch to pick for going into battle with the zombies –– Mad Max style.

I'm looking for a watch that is going to give me the most functionality combined with the most bomb proof durability. The watch that if the balloon goes up you wish you were wearing. If you were called into duty the one time piece you know will withstand the rigors of battle.

What do you pick and why?

Panerai Chrono
Huge watch built like a tank. I like the steel band better than leather.
Hope you have some deep pockets though.

None.  Time wont really matter when everything goes down hill.  I guess I will just make way to a jewelry store and see whats left.  Or pick the wrists of the dead out on the front lawn before burning.  I guess if I really needed to know time, my faters pocket watch will work.  Wind up once a day, and your good to go.

I like the Eco-Drive models, but I'm wondering how long that solar cell actually lasts.  I haven't been able to find any info about the life expectancy.

Omega.

If it's good enough to last in outer space, it's good enough for hell on earth.

Life expectancy on the solar cells seems to be about ten years. Could be more or less but that is how long mine lasted in my eco drive before i had to have it replaced.
