Will be working to get the caching software installed and running properly on the site today.

Last time we tried this we had servers locking up and becoming unresponsive. We now have a new build and will be working to evaluate the software and monitor any problems which may occur. As we do not know what to expect, I hope that you will be patient and understand the goals of this is to continue to improve site performance, especially for those having load time issues.

More info coming as we deal with things.

New software is in and seems to be running ok.

This will adjust all your caching for images and static fles (pdfs, videos, etc) so that your browser can build pages more quickly, without having to hit the server each time to download common images.

If you see any problems or issues, please post here. I will untack the thread tonight or tomorrow AM once things are known to be operating properly.

Need to make a quick change to the smiles and animations so they cache properly, but otherwise the images should be good.

The site caching has increased the speed, but for some reason MAT is incredibly slow right now.

It's running OK but reply counts are not getting updated on page 1 of GD for me.

ETA I just did a CTRL+F5 to force the page to refresh.  That updated everything.

Good to go on both browsers.  Until today I had been having HUGE issues surfing the site in IE.

For some time now, I have not been able to logon to ARF at work, so I can only read and not post.

This afternoon after you updated the software, I had a problem with posts refreshing.

If I read all the posts in the thread and then went back to GD, I could see that more people posted to the thread.  If I opened the thread again, I could only see the posts I had already read and not the new posts unless I hit refresh.

The problem stopped around 1:30 pm central time.

All is good now.

Thanks for all the work you put into the site.

I still miss Americanresearchltd.org.

Yes it is much better. I'm offshore on a slow ass connection and I can definitely tell the difference.

Still running sloooow for me. Slow opening pages and posting on IE.

BTW: what is the deal with the red/green online icons. Are they alive? I swear mine move and turn and I'm not sure but I think it mooned me. Acts like Pac Man sometimes.
