I have a 7600 GT 256 mb SLI capable.

I am thinking of buying the other card because the price dropped 30 dollars and I was just wondering how good of an increase will I see in graphics?

2x?
3x?
.5x?
I haven't heard much about it so I was just wondering if the hive mind would help this nerd.

Im running 2 Nvidia GX7950's in a quad SLI set up...If Nvidia actually made a decent driver they could be bad ass...hoever now that the 8000 series of cards are out I'm sure the 7000 cards will become orphaned...especially now Vista runs DX10 which means you need a 8000 series card to run it right...

you should see a noticeable increase in performance going SLI.

and yes you need a 8 series gfx card to run DX10 and nvidia has a couple new ones coming out soon, plus Nvidia and ATI are under investigation for Price Fixing. so who knows what that will do to the price of the cards.

What is the minimum power supply I should have installed?

Look on Newegg, they are pretty good about saying which ones are SLI certified.
Some cards can suck up more than 250 watts each !

I recommend a SLI certified 550 watt PSU, or more.

I have a GT7950 and love it,
I have been playing FEAR with max settings and no problems at all.

What IS the deal with x10 ?
I am getting pissed about Vista being Forced on us all.

I'm running SLi with 2 7800GTX's. I saw about a 2k point increase in 3Dmark06 scores.

Recently I installed Win XP x64 with 4gigs of RAM and Core 2 Duo E6600(over clocked to 3.2ghz).

3dmark06 scores
4300 3.4ghz P4
6300 SLi
8500 SLi and Core 2 Duo overclocked

I'm running an Enermax 680w power supply. Thats plenty for 7xxx series. The 8800's, I hear, want 730w.

Hope that helps some

Im running 4 7950 gs  cards in SLI according to dell, along with 4 gig of ram, and a intel duo core 6800 processor...on 3d mark 06 I'm hitting 8500+...if only Nvidia would break out with a good driver for this set up...they are apparently working on one....if only it would materialize
