Grew up in my backyard. Cool success story, Aaron is a cool guy from what I've heard. But I could never get into their music.

Me too. I like Aaron Lewis's voice. I like that they're a good in between rock band not too heavy and not too soft.

One thing I have noticed is if a staind song gets played on the radio a Limp Bizkit song is normally played within 15 minutes.

Aaron has one or two country albums out too, if that is more your flavor.

Edit: Beat by a few posts.

A little background, from this article Staind's Aaron Lewis Comes Full Circle with a Move to Country

Aaron Lewis was born to hippie parents on April 13, 1972, in Rutland, Vermont. Their house, a log cabin whose front yard was littered with pot plants, sat on the side of a mountain adjacent to a dirt road too precarious to drive on during the winter months. "They would have to drag me and the groceries up the hill on a sled," Lewis recalls. "And then we would sled down to the Volkswagen bus when it was time to leave." When he was very young, Aaron's parents played in a folk band, and he quickly became a fan of artists such as James Taylor, Harry Chapin, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

Fred Durst is the one who "found" Staind.

He's really not. He is pro 2a tho. But he's a prick.

Went and see him last year, but it was his new country band. Everyone keep chanting to play (insert staind song here). He basically said "shut the fuck up I'll play that shit when I'm ready. But for now I'm playing my shitty country shit". Not verbatim but you get the idea

I  saw him live a few years ago really good show. He was very cool to the crowd.
Played alot of his STAIND stuff alongside his solo work.

FWIW he handed me a bunch of guitar picks on his way off stage. One was a Gadsden, a "We the people" one, and one  wit the entire Second Amendment on it. Pretty cool

Already a few really good singles out off it now
