Philippians 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

He went through one town and village after another, teaching and making His way toward Jerusalem."Lord," someone asked Him,"are there only a few who are being saved?" And then He said to them,"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I will tell you, many will try to enter and won't be able to once the homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Then you will stand outside and knock on the door, saying,'Lord open up for us!' And He will answer you,'I don't know you or where it is that you are from.'

Then you will say,'We ate and drank in your presence and you taught us in the streets!' But He will say,'I tell you that I don't know you. Get away from Me,all you workers of unrighteousness!' Then there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you will see Abraham,Isaac,Jacob, and all of the prophets of the kingdom of God but you yourselves will be thrown out.

They will come from east and west, from north and south, and recline at the table in the kingdom of God.

Note this: some are last that will be first, and some that are first shall be last.
