A guy at work ask this and I could not give him a good answer. Why do right handed shooters want semiautomatic rifles to eject out of the right side of the gun? |
|
Um, ok. When I shoot my “righty” AR15 left-handed I don’t get hit in the face. Never had the problem with shotguns or any other semi except a para P12 with a weak spring that use to throw the rounds in my face. Is this a real problem with the AR15 or just something that is nice to have? |
Uh, no. I need to check my ejector, but on my Para P12 I get dinged in the face all the time. It's the ejector more than likely. I hold it right, do not limp wrist, and have never held it gangsta style. |
i am with macman37 on this one. ![]() the problem went away after the gun came back from the smith. |
Or you're using weak ammo. I've shot cheapie ammo or factory reloads that "dribble" out of the gun, or eject just far enough to land on your head. Real ammo ejects normally in the same guns. -Troy |
I always made a habit to aim for the collar and hope it goes down the back. |
