my LEO buddy (kinda like a bro to my lil cousin) is gonna let me shoot his select fire, colt m4. (i know its a colt but im kinda new to AR so im not exact on what kind it is, but, who cares)

so my question is
is it legal for him to do so? he wont get in trouble will he?

Everything will be ok as long as you don't get caught.It is highly illegal for a lowly civilian to even look at,much less touch,a LEO owned weapon.

When you're shooting full auto out of his cruiser at highway speed, try to avoid shooting in the direction of populated areas.

To cover your ass,ask your friend to get a signed form 2317 from HIS chief stating that it is ok for a civilian to use a LEO weapon.
