| The video shows 2 safety bullets loaded up. The second one is in case an unauthorized person cycles the action first. Then you have a backup safety bullet. Well fuck, if you want to be 100% safe you should simply load the whole magazine with safety bullets. Then when an intruder comes in you know that you have to eject the whole magazine because it's useless and get one with the real stuff loaded. This shit is BRILLIANT! |
| If I actually had little kids around I would actually have a few safety bullets in my guns NOT USED FOR SELF DEFENSE. If you keep a loaded handgun in a gunvault or similar device but have hunting guns out I can see how three safety bullets would be cheaper than a safe. Kids are stupid and so are their friends. I saved a ton of money by just not having any yet. |

It's not a bad idea...but its just not for me. Until someone does break into your house at 3a.m. and you have a complete mental fart and forget about those stupid "safety bullets". this. my buddy tried to sell me on this, i told him to GTFO. in a high stress situation i want to retrieve my weapon and engage, not try to remember to rack the action twice when ur panicked and low on time. |

I would hope when I have them my kids will be smarter than to put live ammo into a gun and pull the trigger in stupid circumstances, but screwing around with a gun that is "unloaded" I can see happening no matter how much daddy says not to because daddies are not always watching. |

Quoted: Another option... is to remove the bolts of all your firearms... and place them in a handgun safe. Handgun safes can be had for REALLY cheap. If I actually had little kids around I would actually have a few safety bullets in my guns NOT USED FOR SELF DEFENSE. in a high stress situation i want to retrieve my weapon and engage, not try to remember to rack the action twice when ur panicked and low on time. Why would you need to rack the slide twice? In any case, not everyone does everything the same way. Some folks have semi-autos that they store with the safety engaged-gotta disngage it before you can fire. Some folks keep them with a loaded magazine and an empty chamber-gotta cycle the action before you can fire. All this thing is is another option. If it doesn't fit your needs, don't buy it. (I wouldn't.) However, I don't see what's so WTF about it. |
