I just cracked one open from the Summer Variaty pack I bought. This is the first Sam Adams I've had that I've ever had the reaction. This stuff sucks

I'm a dark beer guy, but the aftertaste on this is just awful. I've had about 13-14 different kinds of sam adams and I've liked all of them.

I tend to dislike most Sam Adams brands. Octoberfest (not to style) and Old Fezziwig are the exceptions.
They are more about great marketing now than they are about great brewing, IMHO. You would think that they are a craft brewery the way they talk. Not so.

Their Cranberry Lambic was so bad I poured it down the drain after a couple sips.
I like most of their flavors though.

I enjoy most, but not all, of Sam Adams' styles. IMHO, they do a pretty good job for a large "craft" brewery.

Sam Adams Summer Ale is my new summer/lawn work/hot day beer. I like their Octoberfest too.
Whoever thought of Cranberry Lambic and Cherry Wheat should be shot.
