I picked up a case of Samuel Adams - Winter Classics.  I do not know much about SA brand beer but has anyone tried this case?

My wife bought me a case and so far I don't like any of them. I'm going to try the winter lager tonight. The white Christmas is the best I've tried so far of the bunch. They are just to bitter for me.

Gone through about 3 of those so far, Old fizziwig is a great winter beer. I am so glad they got rid of the cranberry lambic

I didn't like most of it, too hoppy for my tastes. The only one I really like was the winter lager.

They change out 1 or 2 beers every year. Last year they had a pretty good coffee flavored one. I think it was called Black and Brew.

When I found out they get some of their grain from Viet Nam, I won't buy their stuff.

They got rid of that horrible Cranberry Lambic they used to put in there.  The only beer I ever dumped out without finishing.

beeradvocate.com usually has pretty good reviews of all the flavors.

I just finished 2 winter lagers and they are ok but I still think the white Christmas is the best so far, although i
Still not very fond of any of them. I don't think I'll be buying any Samuel Adams in the future.

Chocolate Bock is like alcoholic hot chocolate (that's cold).  Really strong chocolate favor, which I guess is nice to have one of.

Same thing with the Cherry Wheat. That was terrible.

The first couple of years they put the Winter Pack out, I don't think they had put a lot of work into the beers. It's looked much better these past two years.

Boston is my favorite beer, by far.  White Christmas is the best winter seasonal followed by the winter lager.  After being exposed to German beer; I now realize mainstream American beer is . . . a disappointment.

It is not owned by anheuser busch, miller or coors, so thats a big + for me.

They have pretty good distribution, so you can almost always find them on tap when the only other choices are crap and crap light.
I enjoy all their seasonals.

Favorite beer on earth, so far, is Spotted Cow.  Gotta make a trip back up and buy another case, along with some fresh cheese curds.....

Samuel Adams makes a lot of nice beers in the traditional lager and ale styles.  Not for everyone, but if you like craft brewed beers, a very good product.  If your tastes run closer to Coors or Budweiser, move along.  You won't like drinking complex ales with true character.

Jesus Christ I just re-read what I wrote above and that sounds snobby as shit.  I happen to think it's good beer, but to each their own.  Cheers.

The first sip is good, but by the time you drink half the bottle you are sick of the cranberry and the lambic. The only reason you don't dump the rest is, if you think it's a sin to waste something you paid good money for.  Shiner's Holiday Cheer, however, is one of their best beers.
