The local office supply store has a 32GB flash drive on the cheap. I'd like to put my songs on there to play them in the car, but it appears the drive has a software that requires a password to access the drive. If I'm going to use the drive in the car, so I won't be able to enter a password. Is the password feature something that must be used or can I bypass it?
And spare me the "contact Sandisk customer support." You guys know more than they do. |

It's built in software to the drive. Reformat the drive into whatever format the manufacturer of the entertainment unit requires, throw music on there, and you should be good to go. OP i would not expect this to work for you needs. you need a non encrypted drive. |

depending on the model that will not work. certain versions of theirs are controller based not part of the data storage area. in those cases you are unable to remove it. OP i would not expect this to work for you needs. you need a non encrypted drive. Quoted:

Remember that U3 software bullshit a while back? Well, they had a U3 uninstaller that you could run to basically low-level format the flash memory to remove it. Could be the same thing with this one. |
