I saw on another post, a reference to the "Santose Method" of sighting in your rifle for a battle sight zero at 50 and 200 meters.  This seems to be more practical than the standard military 25-300 meters zero.  I did a search on the site and found nothing.  Who can tell me how to do this for my 16" carbine.  And a brief synopsis of its advantages/disadvantages.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

Did a search of THIS site and found nothing?  Come On!  I know I've posted at least half a dozen times in the Optics Forum a couple in the Rifle & Uppers forum and at least once here.  You did use the 'Search' button while you were in one of these forums?

Anyway instead of rehashing it all, over go over to http://communities.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite look under 'Zeroing Methods' for the Santose Improved Battlesight Zero.  LTC Santos was good enough to do a full write up with complete directions (works with carbines or 20" rifles either A1 or A2 sights).

Thanks!  My bad, my login zapped out inadvertantly before I did my search...Hey, I am new to this, just a FNG mistake.

Thanks again,

No problem, just tweaking you a bit!  Its probably something that should be permanently posted in the Optics forum anyway.
