| Hey everyone, I might be in the market for a Savage 10fp in 308 and I wanted to know what is a good price for one and where can I get it at that price. I really dont care if it has an accutrigger, I would almost prefer it didn't have one. Any help is appreciated. |

When I bought mine, I ended up just going through Savage's website and clicking buy now, which takes you to another link with the ffl dealers in your area and the price they will sell to you at. I got a very nice price on it that way since there was some competition amoung the dealers. BTW- it will have an accutrigger, and you will probably like it. I freaking love mine. Be prepared to shop for a stock. Savages' factory stocks are roughly similar to a Tapco BB gun reject |
The Accutrigger is Savage's version of a factory race gun trigger. It is very easily adjusted for weight, There is no creep in the design at all, And it's very safe. |
Here is the Link whcih will do a better job than myself, trying to explain it. |
| +1 on the accutrigger. Get yourself a snap cap and you can easily adjust it to your liking. I wanted to see how much adjustment there actually was....I reduced the pull so much, it would strike the snap cap on closing of the bolt. It is a very crisp and clean trigger assembly! |
Adjusted like that it makes for a wicked lock time! You can definitely get more thrusts per squeeze! |

Here's eight of them. Take your pic. The prices are about as low as you are going to find. Savage 10FP |
Moparman and Cobra ... thanks for the info... Im intrigued now |
I would have suggested WallyWorld, but Turners (heard of them??? If you get the factory stock, Savage Shooters Forum www.savageshooters.net/Pages/Articles.html has a few articles on improving the stock, mostly by filling in the gaps in the interior with epoxy and/or metal and epoxy. Plus the newer synthetics stocks have been improved to lessen the flexing the older versions had. The Accu-Trigger is unbelievable. |
