Who's had them before?
If so, how did you successfully treat it? |

Quoted: BING!!Quoted: Phenol. Careful, powerful neurotoxin. 5% in mineral oil should work. "Powerful neurotoxin" and "should work" in the same sentence, what could go wrong? Actually, ivermectin is by far the best treatment. Phenol is a deterrent, ivermectin kills the parasite. |

Well this is my current treatment regimen that started 1-13.
Initial application of 5% permethrin. I was told not to apply it again until 2 weeks, but I plan to apply it once more the 20th. 2x a day, sulfur soap scrubdown, followed up application of sulfur ointment. Both 10% sulfur. Wash clothes and bedsheets daily in scalding hot water. I've currently isolated myself to my apartment and I am working from home. I have no real clue as to how I got scabies. I do live in a dirty hippie infested city though.... |

I got them at the dog park. I woke up in the middle of the night itching bad. I knew something was wrong right away, so at 2 am, I took a scalding hot shower, washed all linens and clothes in hot water with bleach, and in the morning went to the doctor. I got some cream and put it on from head to toe literally, even my scalp, between toes, under the sac - everywhere. I did this twice and it was no big deal. Doctor said the hot shower and washing everything at first sign made it pretty mild. |
| I used neem oil applied copiously to the entire area daily. Took a few days to get better. Wrap infected area with a bandage if you have to work. Touch nothing with the infected part of the body. Let all infected clothing sit in an isolated corner for a week. Washing kills them too. Rubbing alcohol will work on any infected surfaces. Remember there are probably less than a dozen of the little bastards causing that huge rash. |
