So I have a shotgun listed for sale and I'm not getting much attention and finally somebody contacts me wanting to buy it. We talk a little and he asks to meet. We go over details and then he says something to the affect of "cool, so I'll go get a cashiers check and then we can meet wherever".

I'm thinking, "what wait? A cashiers check? Screw that noise"

I ask him what's wrong with cash? He tells me that whenever he conducts a firearm transaction, he always pays with a cashiers check from Bank of Amaerica.

I'm thinking that this is more than likely a scam but I'll play along. I suggest a meeting place in town and send him the address. It's the address to a Bank of America branch. It takes him awhile to respond and when he finally does, he doesn't want to meet there.

I ask him what the problem is. Crickets. I text him again and say that it's a BoA branch so I can cash the check before I give him the shotgun. More crickets.

Of course I never hear back. What did he think? I'd just take a cashiers check and walk away? Fucking scammers...
