I dont know where to put this question..but anyway. Im looking for a scope, for a remington XR-100. The scope must have target knobs, and be above a 3-9 magnification level. Im trying to stay around 7-800 dollars on this scope. Im really leaning towards the fixed leupy, or a variable zeiss conquest. But im open to suggestions. Target/varmint shooting.

Why only 3-9 for a weapon like that?

Its a single shot, pretty dedicated piece.  I couldn't imagine using it at 3x.

Go ahead and get the Leupold and you will never second guess your choice or be disappointed in it!

Im also considering the Zeiss conquest 6.5-20. I hear its one of the best scopes, for the money.

BTW, the remington XR-100 i have, is chambered in .308
