On many DSLRs, such as the 40D I use, there is a plastic protector over the LCD. Depending on the camera (and the owner's skill with tools) it may need to be sent in for replacement, but there's no need for a protector over a protector.
Besides, my 8 year old Sony P&S doesn't have a protector over the screen and it's still in great shape. If it can go that long without a problem then I don't think I'll ever need to worry about the LCD on my Canon. |
