If it is a newer Colt then its a pretty good bet that you have one. I don't have a pic, but its pretty easy to tell. You will either have a small block of metal that is pinned right behind the trigger/selector area or it will just be an area that has not been milled out. All of the ones that I have seen extend completely to the top of the lower receiver. If your lower does not have a block it will just have one "channel" milled out in the lower receiver. If it does have a block it will look like one larger channel with a much smaller one towards the rear. Michael |
| I just picked up a pre-ban Colt that has a big block of added-on (after the lower was milled). It has a different (slightly) color parkerizing on it and it's stamped Colt. If I remember correctly, my post-ban Armalite has nothing. (My dad borrowed it so I can't check to be sure.) This block is to insure that a full-auto sear cannot be installed, correct? |
