I could use some help with the search function on this board. I post on many other boards, but am not very active here. Instead of starting a new topic, most boards prefer that you use the search function and read words of wisdom on the subject first. I was trying to do some research on the M&P rifle by Smith and Wesson. I put in the correct letter string and did three searches:
MP M&P Smith & Wesson MP said too short of a charter set or something similar, has to be 3 letters minimum. No problem M&P found nothing. Hard to believe Smith & Wesson found nothing. I'm convinced that these topics have been discussed many times before and am also convinced that the real problem is that I am doing something wrong. Can someone push me in the right direction? While I have read some not so flattering things about the M&P, the price point on the Optics ready model is very attractive right now from more than one vendor. Have seen them under $600 My goal isn't to make this thread about the M&P rifle but how to do the proper research. Thanks |

I can tell you that when I did the search for "smith" in title and posts 24hrs and older in the "equipment exchange" I got three pages of results. The more words you put in the more you confuse the search engine and limit your results.
