I was wondering if it would be legal if i bought a few 10/22 barrels and thread them and selling em as threaded barrels on my website. I know i cant thread peoples barrels without an FFL but can i sell threaded barrels? Barrels arn't restricted so i imagine it would be fine but i wanted to make sure before i do it. Thanks for the help

threading 10/22 barrels doesn't require an FFL

It doesn't require an FFL to buy and thread them? Or to thread other peoples? From what i understood you need an FFL to do any gunsmithing or re-finishing on any other persons gun. I don't know if thats true or not?

The FFL is so that you can receive and ship firearms.  Barrel <> Firearm.

That said, eventually someone will ship you a barrel with the receiver still attached to it...

So If the barrel is shipped without a receiver attatched it would be legal to thread it and send it back? Sorry these gun laws confuse me :)

It is legal WITHOUT the receiver. However Bubbles points out a problem that you will probably run into sooner or later. A customer will ship you a barrel attached to a receiver, and then things get sticky. An unlicesened person(your customer) sending a firearm(the receiver in this exqample) to another nonlicensed person(you).

Threading barrels is not an issue except if you are shipping/selling into a state that prohibits them (like California). Threaded barrels are NOT silencer parts, as they have multiple uses, such as flash hiders, muzzle brakes, etc.
