I'm interested in getting one of Ohio Ordnance's kits for the 1919A4 semi-auto. ($950)
1919A4 I was wondering if anyone here has built/assembled one. If so, was it very difficult? It seems like it would be a neat and rewarding project. Thanks for any feedback! -Dan |

Crankfire Systems
I can get about 450-475 rpm with it, which is close to the actual full-auto rate. |

I built one 3 years ago. DO yours from an 80% plate and it's essentialy paper free, because you finished it. All you have to do is drill the holes for the rivets, which is super easy because you can assemble is, then mark the holes, punch, and then drill away.
Rivets are tricky because you need to buck up the end and make the inside smooth so the internals can move. I messed up 3 that I had to redo, but it took maybe a day to build. I got a pic with it on a Maxim Sokolov cart, with a crankfire. |
